2009 Summer Musical Camps
July 6th through July 31st

Each camp week our participants explore both a musical theater and a folk dance theme. Daily activities include:

• Stretching and Strengthening warm-up to improve strength and flexibility
• Reflective Excercise to ensure understanding of concepts and promote logical thinking
• Theatrical Production Elements teaching basic make-up, lighting, costume and set design principles
• Dance Classes (2 each day) introduce dance technique, cultural dance elements, body awareness, and movement and sequencing combinations
• Music Classes help students explore basic vocal techniques, rhythms and song styling
• Production Time explores the music and choregraphy elements for the camp themes

Campers perform their musical production for parents on Friday evening at 5 PM each week.

Camp Fees: $150 per week

General Information for Campers:

• The Dance Factory opens at 7:30 AM each morning.
• Students should pack a daily lunch and bring a sleeping bag and pillow for quiet time.
• We provide morning and afternoon snacks.
• Parents are asked to complete a medical history form for the child.
• Please arrange to bring and pick up your child on time. There will be an additional $5 charge for every 10 minutes you are late picking up the child.
